The Long Barn is a detached Grade II listed stone barn conversion situated at Highford Farm, Higher Clovelly, Devon. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty near the stunning Hartland Peninsula and famous fishing village of Clovelly. The property is the perfect location for exploring beautiful North Devon. 

The Long Barn is the last property on the farm and on the edge of open fields with far reaching views to the sea and over farmland. It’s on a Grade II listed non-working Victorian model Farm. The Long Barn consists of two double bedrooms, open plan lounge and dining room, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bathroom with shower over bath. All rooms are ground floor level with an enclosed rear garden. The property has wifi, gas central heating and a BBQ for guests to use. 

The farm has lots of history much of which can be seen on the buildings and the old farm machinery in the grounds.

The area is very peaceful, away from roads and is home to the retired Clovelly donkeys, who can often been seen in the field adjacent to the barn. 

Spend the evenings by relaxing in the garden with a bbq, enjoying the stunning North Devon sunsets.

The Long Barn is a dog friendly holiday let situated in the Hartland peninsula area of outstanding natural beauty.

The Long Barn is a beautiful, converted stone barn in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). It is Grade II listed with lots of original features. It was originally the farm piggery before becoming a pottery workshop. In the early 2000's it was converted into a holiday let.

We're surrounded by some gorgeous award winning beaches. Westward Ho! is only a 20 minute drive away has over 2 miles of golden sand and has won the prestigious Blue Flag award for facilities and water quality.

Westward Ho! is a charming seaside village located on the North Devon coast, known for its long sandy beach and vibrant atmosphere. This unique destination is famous for being the only place in the UK to have an exclamation mark as part of its name, reflecting its quirky character. The beach is ideal for various activities such as surfing, kite surfing, and paddleboarding, attracting both locals and tourists alike. Visitors can also explore the nearby dramatic cliffs and scenic coastal paths, perfect for walking and enjoying breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Westward Ho! offers a range of facilities, including shops, cafes, and restaurants, making it a delightful spot for families and beachgoers to unwind and soak up the coastal charm.

Bucks Mill, a charming coastal hamlet in North Devon, is known for its picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere. Nestled along the rugged coastline, the area features dramatic cliffs and stunning views of the sea and Lundy island. The nearby Bucks Mill Beach is just a 7 minute drive from the cottage, offers opportunities for leisurely walks and birdwatching, while the quaint cottages and historical buildings, including Bucks Cabin, an artists’ studio frozen in time. 

Spekes Mill well known to enthusiastic surfers and cliff climbers alike and visited by celebrities and royalty for the intimacy and seclusion. Approximately 20 minutes walk from Hartland Quay, passing St Catherine's Tor, lays the breathtaking Spekes Mill, home to one of Devon's most famous waterfalls and an isolated beach. 

Brownsham (a National Trust site) is only a 6 minute drive from the Long Barn and boasts free parking and multiple routes around a mixture of woodland, farmland & coastal paths. You'll be able to find a route to suit quick jaunt or a much longer hike with routes varying between 45 minutes and upwards of two hours whilst you hike along the South West Coast Path towards Hartland. Brownsham is one of my favourite walks with stunning views.

We are situated only 30 minutes away from the charming holiday town of Bude, located on the stunning North Cornwall coastline.
